On behalf of Wu Jieh Yee Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (WUCIE), we are delighted to announce that the HSUHK Entrepreneurship Day 2023 was successfully held on 20 June 2023. In this iconic annual event, we had an incredible time connecting with aspiring student entrepreneurs, alumni, faculty members, potential investors, business elites, and other supporters.
It was encouraging to see so many people coming together to exchange insights on the latest entrepreneurship trends and celebrate our students’ entrepreneurial success.
This year, we were very honoured to have Mr Teddy Lui (呂紹勇先生) – Chief Business Development Officer of Alibaba Entrepreneurs Fund (AEF) – to give a keynote speech on the topic “Youth Entrepreneurship – Sail against the Wind and Make Your Dream Come True (青年創業：逆風翱翔，實現夢想)”. Mr Lui joined the Alibaba Group in 2009, leading the business and partnership development for Alibaba.com in Asia Pacific. He is currently running the Investment Programme in AEF and building partnerships to drive the growth of the start-up ecosystem in Hong Kong.
In addition, the HSUHK Entrepreneurship Challenge 2023, which was jointly organized by WUCIE and the Department of Marketing, concluded with a successful final round. All the finalists did a great job and we are excited to announce the following results of the competition:
Champion and the Technological Innovation Award: Daoad
The 1st Runner-Up: Wellbeing & Health in One (WHO)
The 2nd Runner-Up: Artick
